Colorful Spring at Summer Palace

We had a collection of Black/White photos of the Summer Palace (taken in the fall of 2007) before. Last Wednesday (March 25th, 2009), I had a chance returning to the royal palace of the Qing Dynasty again with another fellow photographer friend of mine. Now, let's enjoy the colorful and warm Spring by sharing this new set of color photos with you.

Walking through Tsinghua University

Tsinghua University is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in China. Sometimes, people are equaling it as "MIT of China". However, I'm sure you would find it as the middle way of the western heritage meeting with the eastern one by walking through its campus. (These photos were just taken yesterday by myself)

Spring over the Forbidden City

The Sun has just passed the Equinox and the Northern Hemisphere of the Earth is in the Spring now. I had a casual walk during the weekend to experience the season outside the wall of the Forbidden City in the center of Beijing. Here are a few pictures to share with everyone.

Spring Scenes in Yuan Ming Garden

These are a few selected snapshots taken with my Sony W300 camera during this week. Finally, it is the Spring time in Beijing. Everything is warming up and coming to life, even in this deserted old royal garden.

The Biggest Little Parade in the World

I was in the casino town of Reno, Nevada for a conference and expo in November 2007 and happened to catch a few snapshots for the Veteran's Day Parade in this Biggest Little City in the World.

It is a wonderful sunny day. It's the biggest event in this little town. Everyone is in the street, anxiously waiting for the start of ...

the Biggest Little Parade in the World.

All folks are welcome to participate. Big shots such as the governor of the state certainly can come by riding a fancy car.

Ordinary citizens may choose to come by taking other forms of less-fancy transportation.

Or simply, you may just join us even by foot,

as long as you're a bunch of joyful and happy folks who would like to share the fun.

You would be absolutely a special guest of honor, if you'd come here by riding your wheelchair.

If you prefer not to walk, you could simply stand by as one of many spectators on the street.

Everyone is excited when the young cadets are marching on

or when the high-school band is playing on.

Hey, even different opinion is welcome - we understand that you love our troop but hate the stupid wars.

Hmmm...maybe we should consider voting this ambitious dude into the White House in 2008 - Nah, maybe not. He does not seem to have a fancy terrorist middle name. Nor is his skin black enough to survive the nomination in the Caucasus.

After all, the star-spangled banner is leading us over the land of the free and the home of the brave.
